IPUT Real Estate (‘IPUT’), Ireland’s leading commercial property investment company and the largest owner of offices and logistics assets in Dublin, announces that it has received full planning permission for the development of Nexus Logistics Park (‘Nexus’) at the Cherryhound Interchange of the M2 motorway, adjacent to Dublin’s M50 and close to Dublin airport.
This first phase of Nexus represents the next stage in IPUT’s logistics development pipeline and will comprise 795,000 sq ft of sustainable logistics facilities across five separate buildings that will be delivered to the highest sustainability standards.
The Nexus development will further consolidate IPUT’s position as Ireland’s leading provider of sustainable logistics facilities. Nexus builds upon the recent successful completion of the 550,000 sq ft logistics facilities at Quantum Logistics Park which was successfully pre-let to leading global occupiers Maersk, DHL, and Harvey Norman. This included the delivery of Ireland’s first net zero logistics building as well as investment in the surrounding public realm, including a landscaped central amenity area, multi-use games area, running track, and a specially commissioned piece of sculpture, all of which will enhance the occupier experience. IPUT’s current logistics portfolio comprises 3.2 million sq ft, across 32 buildings, with the potential to add a further 2.4 million sq ft
Niall Gaffney, CEO, of IPUT Real Estate, commented:
Our intention is to deliver the next generation of logistics parks in Ireland, to meet both the operational and sustainability requirements of today’s occupiers. We have a proven track record of delivering logistics facilities with market-leading sustainability credentials – including Ireland’s first ever net zero logistics building at Quantum Logistics Park. Our development at Nexus and logistics pipeline will further strengthen our position as the market leader while continuing to drive resilient, long-term returns for shareholders.
