Latest programme also highlights issues relating to the environment and migration through the eyes of Ireland’s most successful contemporary artists

New viewing platform has been installed on the Canal bank, in partnership with IPUT Real Estate and Waterways Ireland.

Leading Irish and International artists will headline the Autumn Programme at Living Canvas Dublin, the largest outdoor screen for contemporary art in Europe.

Internationally famous American artist Scott Eaton will lead the new programme alongside US-based Kilkenny-born David O’Reilly, as the Wilton Park venue continues to cement its reputation as the place to discover the latest, most interesting, and exciting work by artists and film pioneers.

Scott Eaton’s Perpetual Now II is co-presented by Meta Open Arts and Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) at Meta, where the work was developed in residence, while O’Reilly’s reworking of his renowned Eye of the Dream aims to show life from the Big Bang to the modern world – all on the banks of Dublin’s Grand Canal.

Further Autumn Programme Highlights include a weekly Monday focus on the Canal and its heritage, together with the environment and biodiversity; with work by Mark Clare and Anita Groener, and contemporary art films inspired by Irish writers. Tuesday mornings explore themes of migration and home, as Anita Groener’s Nest is paired with Dorothy Cross and Alan Gilsenan’s Heartship. The ever-popular family animation slot each weekend morning features Conor Finnegan’s charming short film, Fear of Flying – a timely piece to enjoy as the seasons change.
