Quantum Logistics Park

A.P. Moller-Maersk (“Maersk”), the global logistics integrator has pre-let 250,000 sq ft of premium logistics space comprising 178,000 sq. ft. Unit 3 and 74,000 sq ft Unit 4 which are scheduled for completion in Q4 2022 and Q2 2023 respectively. Both units will be delivered to the highest sustainability standards in the market with LEED Gold and BREEAM Excellent ratings. As part of the development of Quantum, IPUT has upgraded the Kilshane Road to the north of the park and invested in the public realm with a focus on the occupier experience. A landscaped central amenity area, multi-use games area, running track and a specially commissioned piece of sculpture are some of the benefits to the park that IPUT are providing.

Maersk will join global logistics company, DHL and international retailer, Harvey Norman who have pre-let Units 1 and 2 respectively, comprising a total of 300,000 sq ft.

Ireland’s First Net Zero Logistics Building

Unit 4 at Quantum will be the first net zero carbon logistics building in Ireland. Through the use of a variety of sustainability initiatives, including a glue-laminated timber structural frame and cross-laminated timber roof structure, Unit 4 will set the standard in Ireland for the future of sustainable logistics development. It will also support Maersk in its ambition to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 and be the first logistics unit of its kind in their global portfolio.

Niall Gaffney, CEO, IPUT Real Estate, commented:

Our ambition for Quantum Logistics Park was to set a new sustainability standard for logistics in Ireland and attract global occupiers to our developments. We have experienced strong demand for all four units and are pleased to have pre-let the entire park welcoming DHL, Harvey Norman and Maersk to Quantum.

In particular, we are pleased to work with Maersk to deliver Ireland’s first net zero logistics building which will support their 2040 net zero ambition.

As we continue to build out our logistics portfolio, we will continue to push the standard in the Irish market, combining quality design, active placemaking and environmental performance.

Simon Smith, Country Manager, Maersk Ireland, commented:

We are delighted to partner with IPUT on our two new warehouse and distribution facilities in Quantum Logistics Park. This is a really important next step for Maersk in the Irish market which allows us to add significant capabilities for our customers, as we continue to offer integrated end to end solutions for their supply chains. It is also with great pride that sustainability will sit out at the forefront of these facilities. For Maersk to be partnering on the first ever Glulam timber framed facility to be built in this part of Europe, gives a strong signal of our commitment to our carbon zero goal.
